RIICS publishes research articles and reviews. This type of production must be original, making an important contribution to the understanding and solution of social problems in health issues, as well as to the development, discussion and advancement of the discipline. The sources cited should be primary and from recognized Editorials that use peer review.

Research Article

A research article is an original and unpublished production that presents in a detailed and organized manner the results derived from a completed research project. This type of article follows the RIMRDyC structure (resume, introduction, methodology, results, discussion and conclusions). It should have a maximum length of 5000 words and at least 25 bibliographical references.

Manuscripts reporting Clinical trials must comply with CONSORT guidelines, including the submission of the checklist as a supplementary file (https://www.consort-spirit.org/). It is mandatory to register the trial in a recognized public registry before participant recruitment begins and to specify the registration number in the manuscript. Additionally, ethical approval from an accredited committee must be ensured, along with compliance with the Declaration of Helsinki. To enhance transparency, authors are encouraged to provide access to the study's data and protocol, in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.

Review Article

Document derived from research that systematically compiles, organizes and analyzes the most recent and important researches in the area; it presents the evolution of a topic providing a general and current overview of its trends, controversies and debates; its authors should be researchers with expertise in the field of research.

For this type of manuscript, the RIICS journal only accepts systematic reviews and meta-analyses that adhere to the PRISMA statement guidelines and are registered with the International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews (PROSPERO).

Similar to the research article, it should follow the RIMRD&C structure. The maximum length should be 6000 words and use at least 50 bibliographic sources for its analysis.  Please, refer to PRISMA statement for information on your method.
