Análisis de factores de la adicción al juego, el tiempo de juego y el ángulo craneovertebral en los trastornos musculoesqueléticos entre los jugadores de deportes electrónicos

Introducción. La popularidad de los deportes electrónicos sigue aumentando en Indonesia, con muchos jugadores. La intensa actividad de jugar esports a menudo conduce a trastornos musculoesqueléticos, que pueden perjudicar el rendimiento, reducir la calidad de vida y acortar las carreras de los jugadores.
Objetivo. Este estudio pretende analizar la correlación entre la adicción a los juegos digitales, el tiempo de juego y el ángulo craneovertebral con los trastornos musculoesqueléticos en jugadores indonesios de deportes electrónicos.
Método. En este estudio transversal participaron 338 jugadores de esports de entre 16 y 30 años de categorías amateur, semiprofesional y profesional seleccionados mediante una técnica de muestreo por conveniencia. Se recogieron datos mediante el Cuestionario Musculoesquelético Nórdico (NMQ) para identificar trastornos musculoesqueléticos, el Test de Adicción a los Videojuegos (VAT) para medir el nivel de adicción a los juegos digitales, y la aplicación Kinovea para analizar los ángulos craneovertebrales de los jugadores y los informes diarios de tiempo de juego.
Resultados. El nivel de adicción a los juegos digitales (r = 0,503), el tiempo de juego (r = 0,405) y el ángulo craneovertebral (r = -0,378) mostraron correlaciones significativas con los trastornos musculoesqueléticos (p < 0,05). El análisis de regresión ordinal indicó que la adicción a los juegos digitales tenía la correlación más fuerte (p = 0,000), seguida del ángulo craneovertebral (p = 0,001) y del tiempo de juego (p = 0,038). En conjunto, estas tres variables explicaban el 32,7 % de la varianza de los trastornos musculoesqueléticos.
Conclusión. La adicción a los juegos digitales, el tiempo de juego y el ángulo craneovertebral se correlacionan significativamente con los trastornos musculoesqueléticos en jugadores indonesios de deportes electrónicos. Estos resultados ponen de relieve la importancia de la educación ergonómica, la regulación del tiempo de juego y la mejora de la postura para prevenir el riesgo de estos trastornos la salud de los jugadores y la sostenibilidad de sus carreras.
